I’ve always had a passion for IT and, following my studies, I knew this is what I wanted to do.
When I first joined RockIT four years ago, I knew I wanted to develop a career in IT but it’s fair to say I didn’t really know what that might look like. RockIT have not only helped me to develop my skills and experience, but they have helped me to work out what direction I want my career to go in and I’ve been thoroughly supported to make sure this is achieved.
Rewards can come in many different packages, some are heart-shaped, some are flat as a pancake and some are just yummy. We know that the working day can be stressful, however, providing our staff with a weekly treat is sometimes all that’s needed to keep everyone happy and motivated.
When I first joined RockIT, all I envisaged was a way into the IT industry having done an IT degree and a small amount of web design at home. However, in the space of 2 years, I realised I really enjoyed the company, the sector, and the industry.
A position came up in the Internal Account Manager team and I presented myself as a candidate for this. Since then, I haven’t looked back. The business has offered me numerous opportunities to progress along the way and the path has been excellent. I feel I’ve got a lot to offer, and I’ve had a lot of support from Rob along the way to get the best out of what I think I can offer.

I have been a member of the RockIT Service Department for just over 6 months. Coming from a bigger Managed Service Provider, I didn’t know what to expect. Since working for RockIT, I have had the pleasure of learning and developing a variety of managerial skills, which has enabled me to advance my career from Incident Manager, to Advanced Support Team Department Manager
